Duradek offers permanent water-proof protection. All of the seams are heat welded together to form one solid sheet that is 100% water proof. Fichtner Services is an approved Duradek applicator, allowing us to extend Maryland homeowners a 15 year manufacturers warranty. This is an industry leading warranty in flat roof systems, guaranteeing the repair or replacement of any portion of the Duradek “Ultra” 60-mil vinyl decking membrane which leaks as a result of a manufacturing defect within ten years from the date of its installation.

EPDM Roofing (Ethylene Propolene Diene Monomer)

EPDM Roof AnnapolisEPDM is an is extremely versatile rubber roof system and can be used on almost every flat roof detail or problem area. Fichtner Services has achieved the status of Red Shield Applicator by Firestone, one of the largest manufacturers of flat roofing materials in the world.

EPDM roofing is comprised of a sheet of rubber, available in 10′ or 20′ wide rolls. The EPDM roofing material is glued down in much the same was a bicycle inner tube is patched using contact adhesive. EPDM rubber roofing membrane is expected to last 30 years or more with proper maintenance.

TPO Roofing (Thermoplastic Polyolefin)

TPO roofing is a product similar to Duradek. TPO roofing is more economical compared to Duradek, but is not suitable for a walkable roof surface. The life expectancy of a TPO roof is 30 years with proper installation and maintenance.
